CAM Common Interface

|
Conditional access moduls (CAM) contain the necessary hard- and software to decrypt encoded programmes.
The CAMs are inserted in the suitable slots of the receivers or LCD TVs "Common Interface". The access ability to the encrypted programmes happens via smart card, which gets inserted in the slot of the CAM. Conditional access moduls are available for most of the encoding systems in trade.
CAMs allow therefore the decryption of programmes from different Pay TV operators with a single digital receiver or LCD TV with "Common Interface" slot. |
